WHAT TO EXPECT & HOW TO PREPARE FOR ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS
Congratulations on taking the next step towards your optimum health and well being!
Appointments are generally an hour, sometimes longer for the initial visit. I will obtain a full health history and history of your primary concern(s). Depending on the visit, I will likely palpate your radial pulse on the inside of your wrist, and look at your tongue. The tongue and pulse are two of the main diagnostic tools used in Chinese medicine. They reflect the condition of the organs, qi, and blood. Once I have gathered the information I need to properly diagnose according to Chinese medicine, I will treat you accordingly with acupuncture, and depending on my findings, I may also utilize cupping, gua sha, moxa, dietary recommendations, and herbal medicine.
- Please be sure all paperwork is completed online prior to your visit.
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the forearms and lower legs.
- If you are coming for a facial rejuvenation treatment, please come with a clean face, i.e. no foundation-like makeup.
